Nature in New York

City of New York could be a jungle according to many, but animals can be found in its many zoos. If you want to check one or more of the many zoos in New York City I recommend buying a city pass that will allow free access to many of the zoos area. Note that some of the attractions within the zoo will cost extra so you should have to pay something for your day at the zoo (s), but every little you can save on the way and help you be surprised how quickly you can recover the cost of your pass.

Bronx Zoo

The Bronx Zoo is the largest urban zoo in the U.S. and is open 365 days a year. Those passes, the city may enjoy free access to this zoo. Once you've had your fill of the award-winning exhibits the Bronx Zoo has to offer those who must leave the New York Botanical Garden, which is nearby and offers great fun and many activities for children to avoid (this experience is another that can be enjoyed at no additional charge over New York). Also near Wave Hill, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and Van Cortlandt House Museum. All these activities are free with the pass from New York and they are highly suitable for families all ages.

Central Park Zoo

The Central Park Zoo offers a glimpse of the animals in their natural habitat instead of cages. While this is becoming more and more of the standard in regard to American zoos Central Park Zoo was a pioneer in relationship this particular process. Today the Central Park Zoo has an indoor rainforest, a chilled penguin house, along with a pool for the polar bears to the Once you are home to breeding programs for some endangered species. While you're there be sure to have lunch at the Leaping Frog Cafe, which offers meals suitable for children that is surprisingly health-oriented (such as trans-fat-free French fries). New York Aquarium

The Aquarium New York, while not exactly a zoo is another great place for families to experience the life of animals. This happens to be one of the highlights of many trips to New York. Young and old will enjoy marine animals play and have fun while learning important lessons about our marine friends. The aquarium is located in Coney Island and is near Astroland Amusement Park, if you want to make a day of it. New York Aquarium offers free access to holders of the pass Astroland New York and offers discounts to holders of those.

Prospect Park Zoo

Prospect Park Zoo offers a unique experience for children have more interactive contact with animals. This increased interaction makes the trip much more enjoyable for young people that many larger zoos allowing little interaction with the animals or a limited number of animals to interact with it. The Prospect Park Zoo houses over 400 animals representing more 80 species. This zoo is located near Children's Museum of Brooklyn, Brooklyn Botanical Garden and the Brooklyn Museum of Art, all of which allow free admission to the New York Pass holders.

Queens Zoo

Queens Zoo offers a unique experience for visitors, as is less of a zoo and a lake at home in the paddock for the animals it houses. This 12-acre park houses 70 animals living in habitats very authentic. If you decide visit this particular zoo, make sure you take the time to visit the corral area for the little ones can feed some of the creatures friendly. This zoo is located very near the Queens Museum of Art, New York Hall of Science and the American Museum of the Moving Image. These attractions are free with New York Pass.

If you are a true animal lover, then New York City, all covered with opportunities to get your fill. Who would have thought that a city is full of skyscrapers and commerce was also home to some of the most beautiful and exotic species in the world?
