Jerky Slicer
Making dried fruit and fruit skin is not hard and need not be expensive either. While some food processors and juicers becomes very expensive, is not a dehydrator of going to cost a lot and is a lifesaver to have fruit skins, nuts or fruit jerky on hand when you can go to store fresh food.
When buying a dehydrator, some things to consider are the materials and construction for the manufacture of the product, size, heating elements, fans and guarantees. Make sure you have room for the dehydrator in the space you have planned for it. Choose one that is multi-purpose, multiple trays and special trays fruits and herbs. A computer mounted or horizontal fan is best when choosing a food dehydrator.
