A few years ago after a long illness, I was introduced to a book written by Dr. Ann Wigmore on wheat grass juice. I must admit I felt a little too easy alternative to taking medication. Grass juice and drinking, the idea seemed ridiculous until I read Ann's books 'Be your own doctor' and 'The Wheatgrass Book ".
First, I'll tell you a little about Dr. Ann Wigmore. She was born in Crop, Lithuania on 4 March 1925. As a girl hid and lived with his grandmother during the German occupation of Russia, which lasted two years. The chlorophyll in wheatgrass is used by the body as a cleanser, rebuilder and neutralizer of toxins. Scientists have studied grass wheat and isolated over a hundred items from the juice of fresh wheat grass and came to the conclusion that it is a complete food. Fifteen pounds of wheatgrass juice, fresh is equivalent in nutritional value to 350 pounds of the freshest vegetables. Wheat grass chlorophyll is the blood cleanser and builder largest known. It is rapidly assimilated in the body because its composition is similar to the hemoglobin molecule in the blood. Actually, you can save a life when oral feeding is impossible.
Wheatgrass Seeds can be found at most herbal and health food stores. Soak seeds from ten to twelve hours, then drain and sprout for another twelve hours. Then place a tray of similar size on top to keep light and moisture in. Four days later, remove the top tray of water and green light and keeping the water a day. Once the grass has grown about seven inches tall (about seven days), which can be cut just above the ground level. You can grow this anywhere, even an apartment window.
To extract the juices or chew, or use a meat grinder action slow. Do not use a blender, quick action leaf chlorophyll oxidation. Chlorophyll should be used immediately after extraction for maximum benefit. This is because the juice of perishable and begins to deteriorate immediately after extraction.
The grass itself can be kept in the refrigerator immediately after harvest for a week and still be powerful.
I've been growing, fruit juices and drinks more than a year, and I feel great. It takes some getting used taste "Yuck. I tried to mix with the juices that I like orange or pineapple, but only spotted my love juices. I have found it better to go alone for this.
