What is the slip and how to manufacture plastic film and bags.
Slip is an organic chemical that is added to the mixture during the film extrusion process to modify the coefficient of friction (COF). COF is a measure the amount of friction between two surfaces as they begin to slip and as Continue dragging each other. The amount of energy needed to put a moving object is always greater than the amount of energy needed to keep it moving while in motion.
Although there are a number of products chemicals used to modify the COF's two main used in polyethylene and polypropylene are Erucamide (which is considered a slow flowering) and Oleamide (which is a rapid flowering). The materials are sometimes called primary amides. Typically 500 to 1500 parts per million (ppm) of sliding is very effective molecule is added to the plastic film in very low concentrations.The slip additive may be disappointed in levels 1 to 3% by weight in the mixture, while the extrusion of film. Molecules of sliding is very low compared to molecular weight polymer which is used. These molecules are somewhat incompatible due to their nature. This means that the material is bi-polar and has one end that has a positive charge and the other has a neutral charge. This incompatibility causes the molecule to migrate flower called through the polymer to the surface of the plastic film.
The migration of slip surface material of the bottom COF and the more slippery the plastic film becomes. The COF refers to the packaging, because the substrates used to package objects always in contact with other surfaces or themselves. Like most packaging operations are of very high speed, COF plays an important role. The packaging material must have only the right COF in order to track properly in packaging machines.
